Historiography:    Ministers General of the Earlier Centuries and the Calced Ministers General

-Robert Gaguin (+1501) was the first to draw up a catalogue of Ministers General which covered the period from the Trinitarian Order's papal approbation until the death of his own predecessor as Minister General in 1472. This listing may be found in the Reformatorium of Borrell (Barcelona, 1563) and in Regula et Statuta of Bourgeois (Douai, 1586) and in Antoninus of the Assumption's Series (Isola del Liri, 1936).

-Miguel Borrell continued the catalogue until 1562 in the Reformatorium.

-Jacques Bourgeois continued the catalogue of Gaguin until 1586 (perhaps only until 1570?) in the Regula et Statuta.

-Claude Massac continued the catalogue until 1719. It was published in Gallia Christiana VIII (Paris, 1744).

-An anonymous author continued the listing upto 1772 in the Constitutions of the Order, published in Paris that year.

-Antoninus of the Assumption continued the catalogue from 1772 through 1894, the year of the death of the last Apostolic Commissary, in his Series.

Historiography:    Spanish Discalced Ministers General

-Antoninus of the Assumption gave the first catalogue in his Arbor Chronologica (Roma, 1894).
-Antoninus then expanded and continued this catalogue until his own election as Minister General for the third time in 1931 in his Series.

Historiography:   20th Century

The AOSST and Catalogus Religiosorum publications furnish the information for the Ministers General of this period.
