On this day in 1619, Paul V issued his letter Romanus pontifex from St. Mary Major, approving and promulgating the first Spanish Discalced edition of the Rule of Life for the Brothers of the Order of the Holy Trinity and of the Ransom of Captives.  This papal Bull was granted ad perpetuam rei memoriam and gives the complete text of this edition of the Trinitarian Rule.
