14 February John Baptist of the Conception, Spanish reformer of the Trinitarian Order, died in the Trinitarian house of Cordoba on this day in the year 1613. 26 February On this day in the year 1596 – appropriately the Monday before Ash Wednesday – after passing through his hometown of Almodóvar del Campo to say farewell to his mother, brothers and sisters, and relatives, John Baptist Rico of the Conception entered the Trinitarian house of Valdepeñas, which had been established by the Province of Andalusia in 1594 for the Recollection. Miguel de la Reina, Minister of the community, welcomed him with open arms but was bewildered by this unexpected decision made by the predicador maior of Seville. 27 February
