3 July On this day in 1988, just before the close of the Marian Year, John Paul II canonized Simon de Rojas. 4 July On this day in 1629, when the mortal remains of Simon de Rojas were exhumed, they were found to be incorrupt. Unfortunately, in the year 1936, during the Spanish Civil War, his remains were profaned and they disappeared. 5 July
