APPOINTMENTS TO GENERAL SECRETARIATS AND DUTIES

In recent meetings held during the latter part of September 2007, Fr. General and the General Council made the following appointments to the secretariats and duties on the general level of the Order:

2007 GENERAL CHAPTER OF THE TRINITARIAN ORDER

The 2007 General Chapter of the Trinitarian Order meeting at Moramanga (Madagacar) from 27 May  to 10 June carried out the following elections on 1 June and 4 June:

Minister General:
Fr. Jose T. Narlaly  (India)

1^st General Councilor and Vicar General:
Fr. Giovanni Savina  (Italy)

2^nd General Councilor:
Fr. Pedro Aliaga  Asensio  (Spain)

3^rd General Councilor:
Fr. Albert M. Anuszewski  (USA)

4^th General Councilor:
Fr. Thierry Knecht  (France)

Secretary General:
Fr. Wilmar Alexander Guiral Cadavid  (Colombia)

Procurator General:
Fr. Javier Carnerero Penalver  (Spain)

In addition, on 5 June, it was announced to the Chapter members that the beatification of the 10 Trinitarian martyrs of the Spanish Civil War will take place on Sunday 28 October 2007 in the Basilica of St. Paul outside the Walls.
